Why is certification so important?
About our certifications
Adobe ran an instructor certification program from 1997–2023* to help people like you easily make the distinction between a good instructor and an excellent one. To earn the Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) status, the trainer had to pass at least one rigorous Adobe product exam within 90 days of its release. The Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) exams separated those who knew the software well from those who were truly experts in their field. In addition, the trainer needed to obtain an instructor qualification (a teaching credential or passing the CompTIA CTT+ exam), to demonstrate expertise in communicating technical information along with classroom management skills.
The instructors at Rocky Mountain Training were all part of Adobe’s certified instructor program until Adobe retired the designation at the end of 2023. We are still actively certified Technical Trainers by CompTIA and ICCOTP (International Council for Certified Online Training Professionals).
